She marries abstract techniques and collage to capture her subjects and depict them with strength and emotion while leaving room for the viewer to interpret and engage their imagination.
I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.

LE Floral Series: Summer Garden
Mixed media on paper, 2023
Inspired by excerpts from "The Late Wisconsin Spring" by John Koethe
"April brings, between the isolation and the flowers.
Now the clouds are lighter, the branches are frosted green,
And suddenly the season that had seemed so tentative before
Becomes immediate, so clear the heart breaks and the vibrant
Air is laced with crystal wires leading back from hell."

Written in the Trees Series: Red
Mixed media on recycled cardboard, 2023
Inspired by the poem by: The Friendly Tree – by Annette Wynne
I’ve found a place beside a friendly tree,
Where I’ll hide my face when the world hurts me,
For the tree will never hurt; I shall love it to the end;
It shall have a dear, dear name:
“My true and silent friend.”

A Perfect Shade of Blue 2
Mixed media on canvas, 2023
Inspired by excerpts from the poem "A Perfect Shade of Blue" by Gainor Ventresco
It’s a Mediterranean blue spilling from my heart
filling me up
Cool, deep, fathomless
between light and dark
a perfect shade of blue
to call my own
sunsets orange dazzle...

Inspired by excerpts from "The Late Wisconsin Spring" by John Koethe
"And even though memory always gives back so much more of
What was there than the mind initially thought it could hold,
Where will the separation and the ache between the isolated
Moments go when summer comes and turns this all into a garden?"
